Los Gigantes is 42 km from Tenerife South Airport, about 40 minutes on the TF-1 and then the TF-47 up the west coast through Playa San Juan and Puerto de Santiago. Collect at TFS Arrivals or have the car delivered to your apartment here. The cliffs the town is named after run for 8 km and stand 300 to 600 m out of the water; the free roadside Mirador de Archipenque on the TF-454 above the town is the view everyone photographs.

Be honest with yourself about parking before you book a big car. There is no public car park in the resort core, the streets are narrow, steep and one way, and the marina car park fills early. The reliable fallback is free white line street parking in Puerto de Santiago, a 10 to 20 minute walk away. Hotel parking runs from about 8 to 22 euros a day. Town speed limits are 20 and 30 km/h and they are there for a reason.

The drive everyone comes for is the TF-436 over to Masca: 13 km of hairpins, gradients around 16 percent, and pinch points where you reverse to let a coach past. Vehicles over 10 m are banned, and parking in Masca village is capped at two hours between 08:00 and 14:00 with towing enforced.
