Spain Air Travel on Path to Full Recovery, Boosting Car Rental Industry and Summer Tourism

In a joyful and anticipated announcement at a press conference yesterday, the Asociación de Líneas Aéreas (ALA) reported that air transportation in Spain is on its way to a full recovery, with a total of 219 million passenger seats reserved for this summer, 3% more than in the summer of 2019. The car rental industry is likely to benefit from this increase in travel as well.

ALA emphasized that the summer season, which lasts from April to October, will be particularly positive for the Canary Islands. With 31.2 million seats planned, they are one of the three autonomous communities that have experienced the most significant increase in reserved seats compared to 2019, alongside Andalusia and the Balearic Islands.
